Welcome to Souls of Hip Hop: daily power thoughts. Harnessing the power of thought is fundamental in designing your best life and nourishing your soul. In this season, we share quotes, take-aways from our guests, and affirmations to energize your day. Let this season help to awaken your best you, uplift, inspire and bring daily joy. Knowledge is power. Today's power thought is from Martin Luther King Jr. This quote I first read when I was in elementary school, and I remembered reading it on a sign in our school library. It really impacted me and it's become one of my mottos. Here's the quote, If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward. This quote is from one of the speeches that he gave to young people on his college tours, motivating the youth from becoming discouraged to fight for their rights and justice, to remain hopeful, no matter how tough their life may become. So today, I encourage you to persevere, to fly, run, walk and crawl as best you can, and keep moving forward.
