Welcome to Souls of Hip Hop: daily power thoughts. Harnessing the power of thought is fundamental and designing your best life and nourishing your soul. In this season, we share quotes, take-aways from our guests and affirmations to energize your day. Let this season help to awaken your best you, uplift, inspire and bring daily joy. Knowledge is power. Today's power thought is about affirmations. Affirmations are positive self talk that can help to challenge and overcome self sabotaging and negative thoughts. They are easy to implement on a daily basis. You can make up your own or find ones already available depending on your particular situation. The dialogue we have with ourselves is extremely empowering. I found with my clients as well as myself the value of affirmations, just like many of us exercise our bodies on a regular basis. You can look at affirmations as a daily mental exercise that over time helps to rid yourself of limiting beliefs. The problem with negative thoughts is that they can become self fulfilling prophecies. We talk ourselves into believing that we're not good enough. And as a result, these thoughts burden our personal lives, our relationships and our careers. Repeating out loud the encouraging statement and strengthening of that thought instead of giving power to the less empowering self talk allows you to start to make the positive statement true. Allowing your mind room for new possibilities and a healthier belief. If you're new to affirmations and want to make healthy changes and move from where you are to where you want to be. You can use this one to start each day. Say out lou by repeating it several times. es, it may be silly at first, bu as you continue to say it you ill start to feel the shift in our body, mind and soul. I am the architect of my life.
